Nikolai knew that not everyone would be eager to participate in this tv show, so he came up with a prize that no one could refuse: 20 million vlachka for whoever makes it to the end of the tv show.

For a made-up fic title prompt on Tumblr, my initial fill was:
Very very AU Grishaverse x Frozen crossover where Arendelle is a breakaway city-state in Fjerda and the Grisha there are only recognized if they are Tidemakers, which poses a significant problem when Nina and Matthias arrive, on the run, seeking asylum in the court of Queen Anna I or safe passage to Elsa’s retreat in the Farthest North. Kristoff in particular believes they are spies for the Fjerdan government and wants them either locked up or placed under house arrest. Things come to a head when Queen Anna’s previous injury during her near-death can only be cured by Nina. Will Kristoff trust her to save Anna’s life?
I didn't quite make it to the cliffhanger in this piece, but I really laid into the seeking asylum part.
