Summary
Pura has an (almost) normal life.
She lives with her sister, Max, in a Refugee Asylum Ecosphere (RAE for short). She goes to school, helps deliver mail and rations, and watches "Good Afternoon, RAEA" at sunset---just like any other kid.
She also has access to a garage, which RAEA civilians should never step foot in, but other than that, she's pretty normal.
Her and her sister's normal life is flipped upside-down when Pura encounters the Murder Drones that the government swears don't exist. Instead of getting killed, Pura befriends these drones and discovers that there's more to them---and humanity's past---than meets the eye. Pura loves her new friends, but Max finds the whole ordeal unsafe. Pura won't be able to keep this secret forever, and once the government does get wind of it all, there's no doubt to anyone involved that everything's gonna get worse from there.
