There's no way I would ever lead Torchwood.”
“That's where you're wrong.” She grabbed a napkin that was sitting there, scribbling something down on it before sliding it across to him and folding it into his hand. “You need to be in this spot at this time.” she said. “And that’s when you’ll find me. You’ve been a big part of my life, Uncle Jack. And I promise you, if you do this for me, I can help you find what you’ve been searching for.”
“Oh really?” Jack scoffed. “And what’s that?”

When the Doctor and Donna take an unexpected detour to an orphanage, they find a mysterious little girl named Lana Phillips with incredibly strong psychic abilities for a human. After defeating the aliens feeding on her power, they think the problem is solved.
But the Doctor realizes that there might be more to her, and when he travels back, she has been kidnapped by Torchwood and experimented on for almost ten years, her powers suppressed to be used as a weapon. She’s rescued by the Doctor, but her psychic abilities have only gotten stronger.
